Vintage EXCELLENT 1950s Resistol 3X Beaver Cowboy Fedora 7-1/8 & Resistol Box

  
Another one of dad's GREAT vintage hats. This 1950s Resistol Cowboy Fedora is near perfect! Its NOT the original shape and dad had this custom shaped in the 1960s to reflect the Cowboy Fedora style that he saw on the 1960s Cowboy movies at that time and it will remain that way, Unless some hatter reshapes it. These are so very rare to find! Its everything youll ever want in a vintage Cowboy hat! A hat that everyone will look at twice. It was found in the dads hat collection stored away for so many years and beside dads every other year cleaning, he stopped that many years ago it never saw daylight. NOTE: it was found in that oval Resistol box but as you can see this was NOT the original box. Dad must have stored it in the box for safe keeling.

It barely fits into the box and when we went to put it back in the box we could see the box slightly extend to fit it in but it does work so dad said to leave it. The box does have more than normal wear but still very functional, see pictures.

This hat is made of the OLD 3X Beaver so its NOTHING like todays or the newer 3X beaver! Ts extremely soft and thick and so very easy to shape and work with! Dad and I hate this new explosion in ratings!

Color is a dark tan or light brown. Even though dad did clean it with his horsehair brush it still looks like it could use a better cleaning.

This is not tagged but is a size 7-1/8 in todays (1970) Tilley hat size chart, still the standard of today its measuring 22-3/8 inches, its a perfect 7-1/8. The shape is PERFECT too!

Needs NO work at all. We just cant say enough about this special hat! The new owner will be unique because its a one-of-a-kind!
