Vintage Excellent 1950s Dobbs Beaver Fifteen Brown 7-1/8 & Box Stetson

  
This is an excellent, near pristine! This is a 1940s Beaver Fifteen Brown Porkpie fedora. This was actually manufactured by Dobbs. This was a normal thing to do back then, many big manufacturers would do this, including Stetson, Knox and all the other large manufactures. The front brim can easily be flipped up or down.

It's easily flipped though. This was found in that 1950s Dobbs hat box. This is just your classic Porkpie style hat with a back bow. It's like stepping back in time to the 1950s when men NEVER walked out of the home with their hat on!

We know that the size tag states 7 but this measures to a perfect 7-1/8, read below. That Beaver 15 is extremely soft and pliable! It's easily shaped into any style with just a bit of steam or simple hand bashing. These hats are very popular with Jazz, Rock, Country Music artists and you see these worn at their concerts all the time. These are rarely found in such pristine.

We filled the picture gallery so you can see every detail! It's looks near pristine! Completely secured to the hat and still very soft and pliable! NO MOTH BITES and NO STAINS! We didn't want to say it's new because it's just too beautiful to have never been worn! We can't find a thing wrong with this fedora! If you have any questions please write to us. NOTE: this was just edited to now include an option for a coat trolley string. A Brown one will look perfect with this fedora! This is NOT sewn onto the hat but could be by any decent tailor or the end can be trimmed off and used just as an adornment. It's pretty easily done.

They make great additions to any hat for that extra bit of styling. The DOBBS box is still in very good condition with its original hat holding insert set. So currently there is NO hat box included in this sale.

Details: Brown, the picture of the whole underside is the best match to the actual color. This actually measures to a perfect 7-1/8 at 22-3/8 inches. We actually measure each hat 3 times using different methods. Size 7-1/8 or 22-3/8 inches or 56. Matching lighter brown Grosgrain ribbon 2.3 inches.

The shipper sent us a picture of the box sitting at the front door and it was NOT CRUSHED? We also discovered that because we were NOT in possession of the box it was impossible for us to file the claim. There are always some Bad Apples around who make everyone's life impossible! It not fair to the rest of the GOOD FOLKS but it's a fact of life these days! Thank you for your understanding.
