Texas HATTERS Lone Star Dame BEAVER Hat, 6-1/4, GRAY Gift from Willie Nelson
Famed TEXAS HATTERS "Lone Star Dame" BEAVER Hat. Original Owner A Personal Gift from Willie Nelson. This is a custom hat order created in 1977 by famed Texas Hatter, Manny Gammage of Austin, Texas. This is a Small hat. Incorrect size was given at time of order--Mistake was by me.
Not by Willie or Manny. Consequently, this hat has never been worn because it never fit me.
The original personalized Lone Star Beer leather hatband has been replaced with a belt-style band. The "Made Especially For" inside brim was only printed on beaver hats of Texas Hatters' Lone Star line. There are some tiny silverfish divots on the brim due to age. Otherwise, this beautiful hat with special provenance is clean and in very well preserved condition. NOTE--The following quote comes directly from Texas Hatters regarding this particular collectible hat.Please ask any questions you may have. Or confer with Texas Hatters. Despite the small sizing, it can be altered for a reasonable cost. This has been factored into the price as well as its collectible vintage era and story behind it.
