It has a teardrop crown and is Beaver felt. The detailed typewriter information tag is still attached to the inside headband. The hat band is embellished with several feathers and a small pin that looks like a branding iron with the initials JBS.

The original box's top does show some wear from storage; however the original protective insert is intact. It was a gift, but. Has been stored in a smoke free home - no odor! This item was donated to The Settlement Home for Children.
