Vintage Resistol W221 HI-7 3X Beaver Whisky Cowboy Hat Size 7. NOS - New Old Stock. The hat is in new condition and has been protected by a hat box in storage for decades. Extremely rare to find a vintage new hat in this color and condition.

A true collector's item! The hat box shows a bit of shelf wear but does a great job protecting the hat. Material: 3X vintage quality Beaver fur felt. Size: 7 (circumference is 22).

Brim: 4" as tagged (measurement closer to 3 7/8"). Crown: 5 1/2" at front, 5 5/8" at peak, and 5 rear. Hat band: 11/16 6-ply grosgrain. When the hat has a size tag I provide that information but it can differ from true size especially for vintage hats. I measure the interior circumference with a cloth tape and provide that information but this is not exact and the taper of the crown will affect size based on where it sits on your head.

Some hats can be stretched 1/8 or so but you need special stretching equipment to do it safely and some hats cannot be stretched at all without distorting the crease or damaging the sweatband. A hat that is too big can typically be remedied with foam spacers (or simply a folded up paper towel) behind the sweatband at strategic locations. Please plan accordingly when purchasing a hat and remember that it is safest to err on the side of getting a hat that is larger than your measured head size.
