NEW found the original Stetson hat box, 1970s Beaver SilverBelly Rancher cowboy hat 7-1/2. Found in the 1970s Resistol really large box.

This is a special edition Stetson! States on the leather sweatband and original tag: TAG - TWHD and the leather states MADE ESPECIALLY FOR TEXAS WHITE HOUSE DELEGATION. So we took out a set of dads 1960s-70s Stetson hats to compare the beaver feel and softness. This is NOTHING alike todays beaver ratings today to for the past 30 years where it all went crazy- 1000X beaver! Which use to be a 100X beaver back then and definitely not comparable quality.

So it most matches the 4X-5X quality. Still very soft and thick and a great look.

We think that everyone knows by now that Stetson is NOT a Stetson anymore. But HATCO makes hats for all the big companies including Resistol and any other medium to large hat companies. It very sad that the AMERICAN LEGEND no longer exists but there are still a few, not many custom hat makers that can make you a great hat! So theres POWDER RIVER in Colorado, OPTIMO in Chicago and others but Stetson in gone! The original 60s-70s Stetson branding iron hat JBS pin is in perfect condition.

The feather are NOT perfect but not bad, see pictures. We actually measure each hat 3 times to verify the size, whether tagged or not.

This was tagged 7-1/2 which is 23-1/2 inches, perfect size 7-1/2 or 60. Size 7-1/2 or 60 or 23-1/2 inches. Width 15 inches, as is not flattened out. So thats why it is a little more expensive.
