Here's a NEW Greeley Hat Works (1990s) 100X Pure Beaver custom Bone Cattleman Cowboy hat, size (see notes below) 7 Long Oval to 7-1/8! This will be the highest grade and nicest hat in anyones collection! There just aren't many of these around nowadays. Greeley is one of the very best and one of the last CUSTOM HAT MAKERS still around. These custom made Pure Beaver hats are the last of the really hats made today.

These old school hat makers use the same methods that Stetson and Resistol used 100 years ago and continue to make some of the best hats available today. If you know anything about hat this is NOT a Hardshell but a soft shell hat so it's very easy to work with!

It's semi-pliable and once shaped can only be reshaped by just using steam and a bit of hand manipulation. There are only a handful of these custom hatters still around. There's one of our very favorites, beside Greeley, POWDER RIVER HATS in Elizabeth Colorado. We have a couple of his hats that we will never let go.

There's OPTIMO also and a few others too. There are lots of famous folks, including movie stars, wealthy cattlemen and you'll sometimes see these hats in TV shows, movies and TV series, like Yellowstone. We all know that HATCO has been making Stetson, Resistol and many other companies hats for years now but this is an original Resistol. These older hats are made so much better than any of the new HATCO hats, there's a world of difference!

These old ones can be shaped into anything with less steam and can be done at home with a little practice. Also the old original 100X beaver is a much higher quality than these new HATCO hats.

It's a big box. It's now original of course but it fits the hat perfectly.

A hat box is always important to store any fine hat in. This one is in very good condition with the original inserts too.

We always suggest either a cardboard hat box or one of those plastic hat store containers, if you want to keep your hat in pristine condition. Let's talk about the color. It's looks like a very light taupe color and the pictures accurately reflect the color. Dad says it's looks like a BONE color. We actually measure each hat 3 times to verify the size, whether tagged or not.

These are great hats and just a minor stretch will easily make this a size 7-1/8. The shaping on this hat is PERFECT! Size 7 Long Oval or 22-1/8 inches. Width 13-1/2 inches, not flattened out. Height 5 inches at center.
