New PURE 100X Beaver (1980s) SHORTYS Custom Hats black cowboy hat. This hat shape and form excellent.

The older Custom Hatters like SHORTYS bought the same 100X PURE Beaver blanks that Stetson bought to make their Stetson 100X PURE Beaver, it is super thick and soft. SHORTYS CABOY Custom Hatters makes superb custom hats, located in Oklahoma City Oklahoma these folks are experts with many many years of custom hat making experience. You can still custom order from Shortys but these Pure Beavers are only custom ordered, See them at shortyshattery. SHORTYS calls this color Sahara but its a tan color.

That custom GUS shaping is perfect. Of you need more pictures or have any questions please write us. This was bought and stored away after my brother had received his other custom MIKES custom Pure Beaver Hat, its listed now. Its been stored away and a bugger moth got just a couple chews on the underside. You can see that in the last pictures.

Theres no reason to hide it, this is still a beautiful hat! Plus the Pure Beaver blanks are not the same.

The base that they are made on is much harder and not as pliable as these original older ones. So there are only a couple of companies that actually make hat blanks back then and even now. Everybody buys the hat blanks from these 1 or 2 companies to actually make their hats.

This is the OLDER original 100X Beaver blanks. The is NO a stiff as a board or really thick hard plastic Un-pliable hat! This is easily shaped into any style hat with just enough steam and manipulation.

These are different types of hat since the 2000s. Just some good steam stream and you can shape it anyway you want.

This is your classic cowboy TV & movie cowboy hat. Its a very sturdy box! We actually measure each hat 3 times to verify the size, wether tagged or not. This one is tagged and It measures exactly to a 7-1/8, 22-3/8 inches. Size 7-1/8 or 57 or 22-3/8 inches.

Width 15 inches, with rolled sides, not flattened out, at widest part. Height is 6 inches at the rear of hat and 4 inches at the front, its perfect! There are 4 different crown bands, chose one of them. Last picture of the bands from top to bottom. The one on the top is the best, well thats what we believe.

Very very soft material, very soft and thick to the touch. It is beautifully and perfectly shaped well balanced. This is a just a great hat.
