Excellent VTG Stetson 1980s ROYAL FLUSH Black 4X Beaver 7-1/4 & Orig. Box

  
Excellent Vintage 1980s Stetson Black "Royal Flush" hat, size 7-1/4. This hat is in pristine condition! Worn only 2-3 times and stored back away in its original Stetson hat box. This has a fully rolled brim edge. It's an outstanding look with this great hat! This hat is near pristine condition! The leather sweatband is perfect! We couldn't find anything wrong with the hat at all. This was found in that very LARGE Origainl "Royal Flush" Stetson Hat Box. The labelling match the hat! The hat box is still in very good condition with minor apparent wear and the original hat holding insert set. And he is always wearing a hat anyway. Well he wasn't a big winner but did come home ahead! Their vacation was fully paid for from the winnings. Now we aren't saying this hat will make you a winner at the tables but does build confidence anywhere you wear it.

He had the original hat band removed and had that horsehair hatband added to the hat. So the original leather hatband with those metal Conchos can be mounted back onto the hat so it's permanent but it's is pretty secure when placed on the hat.

It fits snugly enough to stay on the hat without glueing unless your flipping the hat upside down a lot. Again if you want it permanently mounted for secure fit please write to us and we will get that done. This hat belongs to my son. You can tell because it's much newer than any hat my dad sells.

You will be able to determine why this belongs to my son and not dad. It much newer than dad's hats!

When this was removed from the hat box there was a pinched crown on the front crown. It was reshaped and it was removed, you cannot see any signs of that shaping now. But if you wanted a pinched front crown just to make this one stand out a bit more please write to us and ask to have it done.

This is a NEWER 4X Beaver. Still very thick and very soft. This hat was manufactured by the Original Stetson company and NOT HATCO!

So it's not stiff and hard like the newer one are made! It's soft and semi-pliable. Not very pliable like the 1950s Stetson hats though. If you look through dad's listing you see many outstanding 1950s Stetson hats listed.

We measure each hat 3 times to verify the size. This does have a size tag but measures to a PERFECT size 7-1/4. We measure all the hats we list, tagged or not and we still use the Tilly Hat Size Chart for sizing hats, still in use today. Size 7-1/4 or 22-3/4 inches or 58. Width 12.7 inches, at the widest part.
